Originally, I was going to do something very different. Fragile Year One comprises a slightly fleshed out and changed version of the first of a three-part prologue and character builder for what was to be a vampire spy thriller. But sadly, there was no time to more than year one and I rushed to get that done.
But enjoy.
There are 8 endings in total find whether you get them depends on luck, skill, and the choices you make.

Click on choice or to advance the text. Letterbox narration auto plays but you click to skip if you prefer.

1.0.5 - Another round of cleaning up typos.
1.0.6 - Fixed a game breaking bug right before the last choice in some paths. Also some more typos were fixed. Although there always seems to be more typos hiding in plain sight.

Thank you so much for submitting your game to the jam! I loved the music in yours, and the take on the fledgling story - focusing on the first year and surviving through it was a great idea!
The atmosphere is beautiful and I enjoyed the introspective perspective. The newly turned fledgling is a rather common subject, but you managed to give it quite an original and intriguing twist. The story left me hungry for more!
My only suggestion would be checking the text for typos and adding punctuation: I believe it would make the experience even more immersive.

Ya, there are a lot of typo. Every time I review the script I seem to find new ones I missed the last time.
Pros:
- you are the first person that I've found incorporating scrolling and movement to the background.
- the game is gorgeous and music fitting.
- the main protagonist is a mature well written soul.
- text speed is pleasant.
Cons:
- I broke it and my game froze, so I did not get to an end, I don't know why.

I feel bad you hit a game breaking bug just before making the final choice. I have fixed the problem now. Based on your playthrough you'd should seen 3 choices to decide which of the 8 ending you would have received.
